Eido provides visibility into a device’s patch status and update history, helping you ensure devices are up to date and identify potential risks caused by missing or failed updates.
Viewing Patch Status
The Patches tab shows the update status for the device, including both current health and historical updates.
At the top of the Device Details view, the Patch Status summary indicates the overall state:
Healthy - device is up to date
Unhealthy - updates are missing or have failed
Understanding Patch History
Within the Patches tab, you can view a history of updates applied to the device.
This typically includes:
Patch name
OS version
Release date
Installation status
This allows you to track which updates have been successfully installed over time.
OS Status
The OS Status section provides additional context about the device’s operating system.
This helps you understand:
Whether the device is on a supported version
If it is aligned with expected update levels
Identifying Patch Issues
If a device is marked as Unhealthy, this may indicate:
Missing critical or security updates
Failed update installations
Devices not regularly syncing
Reviewing the patch history helps identify exactly where the issue is.
Using Patch Data for Troubleshooting
The Patching view helps answer key questions:
Is this device up to date?
Which updates are installed or missing?
When was the last update applied?
Are there failed updates causing risk?
This makes it easier to prioritise remediation and maintain device security.
Patching thresholds are configured at the tenant level.
