What's New in Eido
A lot has shipped since the last release. Here are the highlights.
HP and Lenovo warranty data, built in
We've integrated directly with the HP and Lenovo warranty APIs. Live warranty status, expiry dates and coverage details now show up against your devices automatically, no spreadsheets, no third-party tools, no manual lookups. Dell warranty data is also available (read-only).
If you've ever tried to plan a hardware refresh by chasing serial numbers across a vendor portal, you'll know why we're excited about this one. You can now see exactly which devices are about to fall out of warranty, which models are worst affected, and which sites need budget attention, all from a single Eido report.
Advanced RBAC - Smarter roles and permissions
Roles in Eido have been rebuilt from the ground up. You can now scope a role using filters on any column in QueryHub, with include and exclude logic, AND conditions, and full support for Azure AD attributes and your own Intune custom attributes.
Some of the things this unlocks:
- A Munich support team that only sees devices in Germany.
- A standard helpdesk role that excludes C-level executives' devices.
- A macOS specialist role that only surfaces Apple devices.
- Separate roles for clinical and corporate IT in the same tenant.
- MSPs scoping technicians to specific customer tenants.
- Filtering by cost centre, business unit or any custom attribute you've defined in Intune.
- Blocking specific reports outright (audit logs, software metering, anything).
If you've been waiting to give your wider team access to Eido without giving them access to everything, this is the release.
Global Search
A new search bar that finds devices, users, policies, apps and more from anywhere in the app. No more clicking through menus to find one device.
Schedule exports to Azure Blob Storage
Any QueryHub view can now be exported to Azure Blob Storage on a schedule. Useful for feeding data lakes, BI tools, compliance archives, or anyone who lives in Excel and refuses to leave.
Set the schedule once and forget about it.
New reports
Plenty of new visibility this release:
- Warranty for HP, Lenovo and Dell.
- Policy Health to surface misbehaving policies across your estate.
- Proactive Remediations & Scripts with run history and outcomes.
- Active Malware across the fleet.
- Defender Agents health and version coverage.
- Intune Audit Logs in QueryHub, fully filterable and exportable.
- Application Supersedence detection so you stop deploying duplicates.
- Android Security Patch Level on device reports.
Reports also load faster across the board.
User Extended Attributes on devices
Device views now include User Extended Attributes from Intune, so you can slice your fleet by department, location, role, cost centre or anything else you've defined. Pairs nicely with the new role filtering.
Reliability, performance & Bug Fixes
- Tenant syncs are more resilient. A failure in one area no longer blocks the rest, so the rest of your data still updates.
- Smarter API rate limiting in both directions, so syncs run cleaner under load.
- A long list of small UI fixes and performance improvements throughout.
- QueryHub - Saving Aggregations in custom reports resolved, previously aggregations would not be saved
